WACO, Texas (KWTX) - Repairs and replacements are underway for the lighting system along the Interstate 35 frontage road bridges over the Brazos River, according to Waco Public Works.

Over time, weather exposure took a heavy toll on the existing fixtures.

Compounded by a limited availability of replacement parts, many of the lights along the highly traveled bridges eventually stopped working altogether.
