GAINESVILLE, Texas (KXII) - A Gainesville man was sentenced to life in prison after a jury found him guilty of sexual assault of a child.

The Cooke County District Attorney's Office said that the mother of the victim reported Paul Bluemel, 43, to the Cooke County Sheriff's Office in 2025.

The victim stated that the abuse started when she was 14 and ended two years later when Bluemel was arrested.
