GRIMES COUNTY, Texas (KBTX) - For the first time, the public got a peek at the finances behind the company looking to bring one of the largest facilities in American history to Grimes County.

On Tuesday, SpaceX released its first earnings report as a public company, offering the clearest picture yet of where the company stands financially and what that could mean for the proposed Terafab chip manufacturing facility set to come to the Gibbons Creek Reservoir site.

The numbersSpaceX reported $7. 8 billion in revenue for the second quarter of 2026, up 92 percent from the same period last year and ahead of what analysts expected.
