The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo cut the ribbon Wednesday on a new East Side arena designed to provide families, youth and community partners more space for training, education and agriculture-focused programs.

The new arena is located at Frost Bank Center Drive and Aniol Street, across from the Frost Bank Center.

Cody Davenport, executive director and CEO of the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, said the site was once a vacant lot that had been used as a junkyard before the organization purchased it.
