TEXAS CITY, Texas (KTRK) -- The Texas City Police Department said it's making some changes to how its automated license plate readers are used.

According to the department, the changes follow the discovery of "two instances of possible misuse" involving two of their employees.

Texas City PD said Interim Chief James Patterson initiated a review of the use of the technology earlier this summer.
