DUBUQUE, Iowa (KCRG/Gray News) - A giant inflatable pumpkin got loose and tumbled through downtown Dubuque on Tuesday afternoon, bumping into parked cars and forcing an SUV to swerve out of the way on Main Street."This is not AI-generated. This actually truly happened, and I was the car involved in this," Pam McCarron said.

"I think I was pretty calm, but you don't see that every day."Driver describes the momentMcCarron said she did not expect the inflatable pumpkin to come flying toward her in the wind on her way to a work meeting on Tuesday."Is it gonna hit me? Is it gonna hit my car? Is it gonna like go over my car?" McCarron said.

"It's big enough that I couldn't see around it to know if there was anything on the other side, when [the inflatable] was on the other side of the street. I was like, I don't know if there's a car coming."Police react to traffic camera videoDubuque Police Lt. Luke Bock first saw the traffic camera video on Facebook on Thursday morning."Immediately I was like, hey, that looks like one of our traffic cameras," Bock said.
