GALVESTON, Texas - Galveston ISD trustees could take another step Wednesday night in the district's ongoing legal battle with Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton over the display of the Ten Commandments in public school classrooms.

The lawsuit is listed as an action item on the Galveston ISD Board of Trustees' Sept. 23 meeting agenda.

Trustees are scheduled to "discuss and consider action" related to State of Texas v. Galveston ISD, a case that has returned to the 122nd District Court in Galveston County after being sent back from federal court.
