HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A burglary suspect was found dead in a flipped-over car on Saturday morning after police say he fled from officers in The Heights.

According to the Houston Police Department, a security guard at the Lenox Timbergrove apartment complex on West 11th Street near Ella spotted someone breaking into vehicles at about 4 a.m. and called 911.

Authorities said they saw surveillance footage of the suspect going floor to floor of the parking garage, pulling on handles.
