Texas Southern University's Barbara Jordan Public Policy Research and Survey Center recently released its September poll of statewide races that shows the distance between candidates in key races narrowing.

In the race for U.S. Senate, the poll shows Democrat James Talarico leading Republican Ken Paxton 47% to 46%, with 4% of voters still unsure who they would cast their ballots for.

Ted Brown, the Libertarian in the race, polled at 3%.
