LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - The Lubbock County Democratic Party, in partnership with Powered by People and Texas Tech Democrats, will host two voter engagement events featuring former Congressman Beto O'Rourke on Thursday, Oct. 8 and Friday, Oct. 9.

Organizers say both events aim to bring community members and Texas Tech University students together to ensure Lubbock voters are engaged, informed and prepared for upcoming elections."Every election shapes the future of our community, and getting involved today ensures our voices are heard tomorrow," said Gracie Gomez, Chair of the Lubbock County Democratic Party.
