The Lamar CISD Police Department is reminding students, parents, and guardians of the rules on riding to eBikes and other motorized vehicles to school.

The district says legal e-bikes are allowed on campus if they have functional pedals and meet state speed limits ,generally 20-28 mph, depending on the class.

The district also noted that riders of Class 3 e-bikes - which can reach 28 mph and have a speedometer, must be at least 15 years old.
