There has been no finding of contempt on the part of Dick DeGuerin, who was accused by Harris County prosecutors of violating a gag order in the Lee Gilley murder case, according to DeGuerin's attorney Brian Wice.
The issue came before Judge Peyton Peebles Monday, after Harris County District Attorney's Office general counsel Joshua Reiss and Wice filed a motion and response, respectively, full of heated language over DeGuerin's interviews with news stations last month.
The attorneys met with Judge Peebles behind-closed-doors Monday morning to discuss getting rid of certain language in the gag order about restricting all interviews with the media, Wice said.
