Whitehouse woman accused of abusing young child, affidavit said

A 30-year-old Whitehouse woman has been arrested for allegedly physically abusing her young child, causing bruising on the toddler's face and body.

WHITEHOUSE, Texas (KLTV) - A Smith County woman has been arrested on charges stating that she physically injured her child.

According to the arrest warrant affidavit, Samantha Bankhead, 30, caused bruising and marks on her toddler son's face and body.

The affidavit said the child's grandmother picked him up from Bankhead's home in Whitehouse in June.
