MIDLAND, Texas (KOSA) - The Midland County Commissioners Court will hold a special meeting next week following the suspension of County Judge Terry Johnson by the State Commission on Judicial Conduct.
According to the release, the special meeting will take place Wednesday, Sept. 2, at 11:00 a.m. Appointment processAccording to the Texas Government Code, the Commissioners Court may appoint a Midland County resident to serve as acting county judge following the suspension of a constitutional county judge.
The acting judge may serve until the suspension ends or the next term of the office begins, whichever happens first.
