BEXAR COUNTY, Texas - Two people were taken into custody Thursday after the Bexar County Sheriff's Office found a dead dog and six others starving at a Northwest Side home.

Court records show Sarah Thompson, 30, and Julian Salazar, 32, face six counts of animal cruelty, which are considered Class A misdemeanors.

"These dogs were skin and bone," BCSO spokesperson Noah Diaz said in a news conference.
