(KGNS) - It's been eight years since Juan David Ortiz was pulled from a hiding spot in a hotel parking garage, ending a killing spree that claimed the lives of Melissa Ramirez, Claudine Luera, Guiselda Hernandez and Janelle Ortiz.
Ortiz was convicted in 2022 of capital murder and sentenced to life without parole.
His legal fight has continued for years, and the state's highest criminal court has rejected his latest appeal.
