A 4-year-old girl died after investigators say she accidentally shot herself inside a northwest Harris County home Thursday night.

Harris County Precinct 4 deputies responded to a home in the 8700 block of Champions Plaza around 11 p.m. on Aug. 27 after receiving reports of a shooting.

When deputies arrived, they found the girl suffering from a gunshot wound.
