Texas Tech receives $30M estate gift, largest in university's history

Texas Tech University receives a $30 million estate gift, the largest in its history, to support scholarships, professorships, and facilities at the College of Engineering.

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Texas Tech is celebrating a $30 million estate gift to the Edward E. Whitacre College of Engineering.

Texas Tech President Lawrence Schovanec says the money will be used to enhance support for endowed scholarships and professorships.

He says it will help recruit more students and staff members.
