WACO, Texas (KWTX) - It's now been more than two years since the Heart of Texas Dog Park permanently closed, its landowner selling the property in September 2024.
Despite requests from residents, the city of Waco has not moved forward with plans for a new off-leash dog park.
Last month the Waco City Council approved the city's 2027 Capital Improvement Projects, not voting on funding for a dog park.
