(KGNS) -The Texas State Teachers Association (TSTA) in Laredo is responding to the United Independent School District's financial crisis, warning that it could affect students, educators and taxpayers.

UISD is facing a financial challenge that could result in school closures, reduced programs and a $30 million loan to help address the shortfall.
