(KGNS) - A Saturday traffic surge at the World Trade Bridge is prompting city officials to evaluate whether extended weekend hours are generating additional cross-border trade or shifting traffic from weekdays.
The World Trade Bridge added three extra evening hours on Saturdays starting Sept. 5.
During the pilot program's second weekend, commercial crossings exceeded 1,300 trucks during that three-hour window.
