Butt-Holdsworth Memorial Library will host Remembering September 11: A Firsthand Account on Friday, Sept. 11, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the library's First Floor Meeting Room.

The program will feature retired New York City Fire Department Capt. William Groneman, who will share his firsthand experiences from Sept. 11, 2001, and the weeks that followed, offering a personal perspective on one of the defining events in modern American history.

"Twenty-five years later, it remains important that we remember September 11 not simply as an event in history, but through the experiences of the people who lived it," said Diane Miller, library director.
