HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- An off-duty Harris County Sheriff's Office deputy discharged her weapon and struck a man in the Mission Bend area, according to the sheriff's office.

HCSO said detectives responded to the 7200 block of Rio Blanco Road on Sunday evening.

Investigators did not immediately say whether the deputy was responding to an active crime.
