WACO, Texas (KWTX) - The Texas rodeo community is mourning the tragic death of Alejandra Franco, a member of the Tarleton State University Rodeo Team who reportedly died during a rodeo event in Alpine this on Sept. 24.

According to various media reports, Franco died after sustaining injuries while performing at the S.A.L.E. Arena in Alpine.

Both Tarleton State and Sul Ross State University identified Franco as the rodeo team member who died during the event.
