The Heritage Eagles varsity football team played in its first scrimmage of the season Saturday morning against the San Antonio Patriots.

"I was very happy about the way the team came out speed wise," Heritage Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Tim Shipman said.

"Sometimes going from practice speed to game speed can be difficult particularly in a scrimmage. We established the line of scrimmage and did a great job of getting out early." There's room to improve, but the scrimmage was positive for Heritage.
