COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - College Station City Council will discuss a proposed Safe Passing Ordinance Thursday, a rule that would require drivers to leave more room when passing cyclists and pedestrians.
The proposal calls for 3 feet of separation for passenger vehicles and light trucks, and 6 feet for commercial vehicles.
Supporters want to name the ordinance for Hannah Rapp, a champion boxer and cyclist killed in a crash on FM 159 in July.
