KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) - Two professors at Texas A&M University-Central Texas have created a book binding workshop to encourage students to step away from technology.

Dr. Christine Alverez Jones, a professor of anthropology, worked with English professor Dr. Amber Dunai to organize the event.

Alverez Jones said the idea came after attending a conference with hands-on activities."We went to a conference and that conference had a lot of hands-on activities but more so, it just had a lot of good student interaction and community," Alverez Jones said.
