GALVESTON, Texas - Galveston County commissioners voted unanimously Monday to approve an agreement that would give the county administrative control of the Galveston County Health District.

The County Judge and commissioners voted 5-0 to approve the shared-services agreement during Monday morning's Commissioners Court meeting.

The agreement is designed to streamline the administration of the health district and reduce costs, county officials said.
