One person in custody after fatal shooting in rural area of Grimes County

One person is dead and another is in custody following a shooting in rural Grimes County near Gibbons Creek Reservoir on Tuesday evening.

GRIMES COUNTY, Texas (KBTX) - One person is dead in a rural area of Grimes County, according to Sheriff Don Sowell.

One person is in custody in connection with the shooting, according to the Navasota Examiner.

The shooting was reported just before 6 p.m. on Tuesday on private property along CR 173 in an area east of the Gibbons Creek Reservoir between CR 174 and 175.
