HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- Family and classmates gathered at a memorial near Westfield High School on Friday to celebrate the life of a student who was killed days before.

Royce Witchet, a Westfield High School student, was shot just before 3 p.m. Tuesday near the sidewalk between the high school and Spring ISD's administration building on Ella Boulevard, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

He died at the hospital later that day.
