A South Texas police department says one of it's officers was found dead inside his Houston apartment last Friday.

Officer Daniel Trujillo, 36, served with the Taft Police Department for three years, according to the agency.

Houston police say Trujillo was found with multiple gunshot wounds at his apartment located at 11070 Katy Freeway.
