A Pecos County man is behind bars after investigators say he confessed to a string of vehicle thefts, burglaries and firearm thefts that stretched across Howard, Glasscock and Pecos counties.

The investigation began on July 28, when the Big Spring Police Department and Howard County Sheriff's Office started looking into a series of stolen vehicles, vehicle burglaries and gun thefts reported throughout Howard County.

A breakthrough came after Big Spring Police received a Crime Stoppers tip identifying a possible suspect.
