Nearly 100 years of Battlin' Billie legacy will be celebrated this Friday prior to the first Fredericksburg High School football game of the fall season.

Seven FISD coaches and student-athletes will be inducted into the district's inaugural Hall of Fame for their outstanding athletic accomplishments and contributions.

From Chester "Smokey" Klaerner, a multisport athlete who graduated from Fredericksburg High School in 1929, to Coach Randall King, who coaches at FHS today, the event will give community members an opportunity to reflect on the exceptional men and women who have bloomed in and on the gymnasiums and fields of Fredericksburg.
