Ivery Evans medaled for the Lady Antlers when Tivy's cross country teams found themselves racing at the massive Hoka Round Rock McNeil Invitational hosted Friday at Old Settler's Park in Round Rock.

The meet, held at the site of the UIL State Championships, boasted 416 runners in the Class 4A division, where Evans snagged ninth place in a 2-mile time of 11:45.

Evans' effort also had her ahead of other entrants from Tivy's 27-4A circle, with Wimberley's Corina Joyce the closest at 14th in 11:51. Times for Tivy's remaining runners were Hattie Gilbreath 13:02, Victoria Hernandez 13:13, Cora Cowart 13:37, Danna Cisnetros 14:01, Galiela Rivera 14:21, Reese Wentrcek 14:26 and Lyla Farhoudi 14:35. Those times were good for places 85-96-143-198-2356-242-259. Tivy finished 17th among 49 teams, while district rivals Davenport and Wimberley were 10th and 15th, with Fredericksburg and Bandera coming in 18th and 22nd.
