Texas Tech Air Force ROTC, area first responders mark 25th anniversary of 9/11 with memorial stair climb

Texas Tech Air Force ROTC and area first responders held their fifth annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at Galaxy Stadium to honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Friday marks the 25th anniversary of the terrorists attack on the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001.

To commemorate the anniversary, Texas Tech Air Force ROTC hosted its fifth annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb to pay tribute to the nearly 3,000 lives lost.

Members of the AFROTC and area first responders climbed 2,071 steps inside Galaxy Stadium, representing the 110 stories of the World Trade Center, in a show of unity and remembrance.
